Rob Loukotka | Chicago Graphic Designer
This is an example of some unique work I do that is known as photo prototyping. Generally this work is done when a client needs quality photographs of a product that hasn't yet been made. I generally am given a rough photo or illustration which I use as reference to create an interesting shot of the product in Photoshop. This example is for a clothing company called Fantogs who needed their shorts on a model but no longer had any samples of the shorts for a photo shoot. I used a stock photo of a model and meticulously hand painted the shorts into existence on the shot. In addition to having the stripes follow the contours of the shorts I also extensively colored and lit the shorts so that they appeared to truly exist. Obviously a proper photo shoot is always ideal, but in the event that product photographs aren't available this is an example that you can still create the end look you need. In addition to the more common web design and graphic design, prototyping product mockups is an extremely unique skill that I offer, and these are often my favorite projects.
